Dr. Amit Kapoor moderated a session at the IP Dialogue: Opportunities for US -India Collaboration, a FICCI-US Chamber Initiative on IP Led Innovation organised on October 30, 2018 at Federation House, New Delhi. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Global Innovation Policy Center (GIPC) and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), in partnership with the U.S. Chamber’s U.S.-India Business Council, launched a new dialogue around a solutions-driven approach to intellectual property (IP) policy, innovation, and inclusive growth. The dialogue brings together leaders from the U.S. and Indian government and the Indo-U.S. business community in New Delhi. The discussions included a focus on joint opportunities and challenges related to the whole spectrum of IP, including patent filing, regulatory landscape, copyright and infringement, technology transfer, and enforcement.
