Developing economies have outdone themselves in the last few years. Low disposable incomes and resource challenges have incentivized businesses in these countries to develop mechanisms that can address consumer needs through more efficient means than their counterparts in the developed world. As low-resource economies take the lead in business innovation, there also remains immense scope of bringing about social change by creating shared value through inclusive business models. The panel will discuss the scalability, implementation and challenges of shared value models in low-resource economies. This will be followed by a lab session on building shared value business models around the problem of water and sanitation.
Dr. Amit Kapoor shared his views at the Global Shared Value Leadership Summit 2018 in New York. He had the privilege of hosting and moderating a session on low resource setting at the summit on May 2, 2018. The complete list of speakers can be looked here. The complete details can be looked here.
