Intellectual Property, Innovation, and Economic Growth

Dr. Amit Kapoor shared his views at the Back to Basics: The Role of Property in the IP System conference on March 22-23, 2018, at the National Law University in Delhi, India.The event was hosted by The Centre for Innovation, Intellectual Property and Competition (CIIPC) at National Law University Delhi and the Centre for Protection of Intellectual Property (CPIP) at George Mason University, Washington D.C .

This panel discussed the scholarly literature and economic studies that have shown the connection between providing stable and effective property rights to innovators and creators and the existence of a thriving innovative economy. It will consider how a country can build an effective enabling environment that supports flourishing creative and innovation industries.
