International Workshop. Innovation Vouchers: Enabling SME’s to Innovate

Based on the international experiences and empirical evidences about the utility of Innovation Vouchers for promoting innovation in SMEs, GIZ together with the Office of DC MSME, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) is organising an international policy workshop “Innovation Voucher: Enabling SMEs to Innovate” in partnership with Federation of Indian MSME (FISME), Institute For Competitiveness (IFC) and Tanstia FNF Service Centre (TFSC). Objective of the workshop is to understand and analyse the appropriateness, feasibility, schemes structure & implementation mechanisms, different approaches, success & risks factors of “Innovation Voucher” – as a support instruments to facilitate innovation in SMEs – from Indian and International experiences. The workshop is specifically designed to initiate a policy debate and targeted at policy makers from central and state governments. Experience of Innovation Voucher specifically with reference to its Implementation and deliver mechanism can also be useful and handy in adoption of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode for ongoing MSME support programme.
