Dr. Kapoor shared his opinion at the Governance Now Forum held in New Delhi, India on August 21, 2010. The theme Bihar on the Move was fully scrutinized to reveal the vast opportunities in the once forgotten and condemned region of India. With a new governance and new motives driving the growth of the economy in Bihar, new found exists for a land that was once known to be in the dark ages.

Some fight and lose while others fight but win. The difference is small but the impact is huge. Dr. Kapoor’s latest publication reveals what strategy is and does. (Published by Vikas Publication)

Only winners witness the difference and the rest remain in blissful oblivion.
For the first time, this book, Demystify Strategy: Text and Cases, brings strategy into the
purview of Indian understanding. No book that talks only of alien companies and foreign
lifestyles has been able to capture the Indian market. The Indian consumer and markets
are distinct and this book brings this distinctness to life with varied examples and a unique
process, breaking down strategy into anatomical basics.
Strategy is much more than a plan or a set of stipulated actions; it is a thought that runs
behind the operations of the company; a philosophy that gives form to the purpose of the
company’s existence. Strategy is like a long-term guide that determines the course of the
company towards something far more potent than success—sustainability.
The tone of the book and the easy presentation style along with illustrative examples make
the once-dreaded mysteries of strategy appear small and undaunting. Strategy, after this,
would be truly demystified.

For a closer look at the book, visit DemystifyStrategyBookCover

Published on May 29, 2010 in the Outlook Business, ‘A collective effort ‘ is an illustration of the leadership role in the modern age business environement. Achieving competitiveness is mindless without leadership providing the required impetus at each level of the economy. Just as competitiveness is not the prergative of the central governance alone, nor is leadership adequate only at the central level. Every strata in the region requires competitive outlook to business and life and the leadership at each of the levels becomes instrumental in making the economy prosperous as a whole.

Slated from November 29 till December 03, 2010, at Delhi NCR, the GCC is a joint effort of the TCI Network and the Institute for Competitiveness.

The new reality of the business evolution is cluster formations. Competitiveness as a phenomenon cannot grow unless all aspects of the business and the business context are in sync. The Silicon Valley at the international level and the Bangalore IT revolution in India would not have been possible without the knowledge relay and the support of the related industries and organizations at the same place. It is therefore mandatory to understand the process and benefits of cluster formation for a smoother functions and dissemination of competitiveness in all sectors and industries. The small and medium scale enterprises are reeling under the pressure of global competition and without the support of government subsidies and tax benefits, not many firms would survive, however, with cluster formation even a small firm can enjoy advantages of scale economy and scope.

The GCC is a platform which allows thinkers and practitioners from all over the corporate and academic circle to find a common solution to problems that emerge in the business context.

At the Realty Plus Conclave, New Delhi on April 23, 2010, Dr. Kapoor was a panelist on the final session for the conclave which discussed the potent issue of creating a regulating body for the real estate developers. His views were radical as he presented a new wave of thought that supported the creation of a supervising and facilitating body where regulators could take new and old developers to case and ensure standards and safety to govern the business.
